After announcing their split last month, Heidi Montag has now filed for legal separation from Spencer Pratt.

TMZ reports The Hills star has listed ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason.  To be clear, she has NOT filed for divorce as of yet.  But as of today, June 8, her earnings will become separate property from her husband.

Why does this all feel like a publicity stunt?
