For longtime Britney Spears fans, hearing that the pop star was “rushed” to the hospital today was a scary thought… Immediately images of Britney being taken away from her home on a stretcher and put under a psychiatric hold over two years ago came flooding back.  Well no need to worry because that was definitely not the case today!

Paparazzi website, X17Online first reported Spears being “rushed” to the hospital when in actuality she was riding in the passenger seat of her bodyguard’s vehicle followed by two other cars, at least one of which was said to be a police escort.  They were not traveling in a manner that would suggest there was an emergency, in fact, it was pre-planned.  That may seem like a strange way to go to the hospital to you, but remember, she’s Britney Spears… she has to go EVERYWHERE like that.  Plus she walked herself into the UCLA Medical Center… how you get “rushed to the hospital” out of any of that, I don’t know.

A rep for the HOT 107 artist says, “Everything is fine.  Britney is there for an annual physical.”

So way to make something out of nothing.
