Before we get to the details of the 3-D concert… just want to let you know that Lady Gaga is STILL working on her upcoming video for “Telephone”.  This better be good considering the wait!  It’s supposed to premiere on Thursday.

OK, moving on.  Because 3-D is all of a sudden taking over the world, Lady Gaga is in talks to do a concert in 3-D which will later be made available on DVD.  Her label confirms to MTV News saying it will be in the near future but haven’t given out further details.

In December, Gaga released the deluxe version of her album the “Fame Monster” which included a pair of 3-D glasses which were said to be for “things that will happen soon.” AWE!  Why didn’t I hold out for the Deluxe version?

HOT new couple alert!  Hollywood Life reports Jamie Foxx and Stacey Dash are hooking up.

Dash, best known for her role as Dionne in Clueless, was the “Winner” singer’s date to the Oscars this weekend.  And can you believe that woman is 44?  Seriously…

Rumor has it they may have been matched by Damon Dash, who is Stacey’s cousin and co-founded Roc-A-Fella records with Jay-Z.  He also happens to be good friends with Foxx and even collaborated with him and Kanye West on 2005’s “Gold Digger”.

Not much is known about Jamie’s personal life except that he has a daughter, Corrine, who was born in 1995.  As for Stacey, she recently just split from her third husband.

Ice Cube is blogging about his upcoming album titled “I Am The West” and responds to rumors of a reunion with former NWA member Dr. Dre.

Ice cube writes, “I wanna answer a few questions you have for ya’ boy – Beats by Dre? Not yet. Haven’t asked him, but I will.”

Doesn’t Dre have his own album he needs to work on?  Seriously, we’ve been waiting for “Detox” since 2004!  He doesn’t have time to produce your album, sorry Ice Cube.

Rumor has it that Madonna freaked out at an Oscar after-party because they didn’t have her vodka of choice on hand.

The event was sponsored by Grey Goose… however, the “Revolver” singer apparently prefers Belvedere and made a scene when she was told they didn’t have any.

According to ZackTaylor.ca, Madonna was dropping F-bombs about the situation and even after her manager calmed her down, she sulked about the vodka and ordered a non-alcoholic mojito instead.

Obviously Madonna isn’t used to not getting what she wants…

Today marks 13 years since the death of Christopher Wallace aka Notorious B.I.G. at the age of 24.

In the early hours of March 9, 1997, B.I.G. was shot four times in a drive-by shooting.  An unknown driver had rolled up to the vehicle the rapper was riding in and fired a gun multiple times while stopped at a red light.  Wallace was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after.

Biggie was in California at the time to promote his upcoming second album and to film what would be the last music video he would participate in… “Hypnotize”.  Fifteen days after his death, his double-disc album “Life After Death” was released as scheduled and went on to become certified Diamond.

There are many theories as to who killed Biggie Smalls and WHY (a lot of them having to do with the East/West coast rap rivalry and the death of Tupac six-months earlier) but the murder still remains unsolved.

And yes, I got most of that from the movie “Notorious”… But, it was based on the actual events!

Avatar brought in 3, while Precious, Up, and Crazy Heart won 2 each.

More proof that Johnny Depp is money.

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland in Disney Digital 3-D easily topped the box-office this weekend bringing in $116.3 million in Canada and the U.S., and $210.3 million worldwide…  More than Avatar made in it’s opening weekend.  Not only that, Alice has also set a new record for a 3-D debut AND it was also the highest grossing for a movie released outside of the peak movie-going months of May, July or November.  Overall, it’s the sixth biggest opening in box office history.

So pretty much move over Avatar, it’s all about Alice now.  (And the Hurt Locker apparently… i.e. the Oscars last night.)

After being postponed two times already, Lil Wayne was taken away in handcuffs from a New York City courthouse today to start a one-year jail sentence on weapons charges.

The rapper plead guilty in October to criminal possession of a weapon when it was discovered he had a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun on his tour bus in 2007.

Weezy will serve his sentence in city jails, not state prison, and could be released within 8 months for good behavior.  But don’t worry, it won’t be that long before we hear from him again… He is said to have shot 16 new music videos recently and is rumored to have unreleased songs in the vault somewhere.

His last Twitter status before heading to jail reads: “Law is mind without reason. ……………..I’ll return”

Katy Perry has made the switch from singer to voice-over artist…

The HOT 107 star has been cast as the voice of Smurfette in the new live-action/CGI Smurfs movie.

In case you don’t know… The Smurfs were created in 1958 as a comic strip and later adapted into a cartoon television series by Hannah-Barbera in the 80’s.

Other Smurf characters include Papa Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Greedy Smurf, Lazy Smurf, etc.  Yes, it’s very creative.

They also have their own language in which they replace everyday words with the word “smurf”.  (Ex: “I love smurfing to HOT 107!”). 

They live in mushroom-shaped houses in the Smurf village and the evil wizard, Gargamel, is out to get them.

Smurfs are blue-skinned, very tiny, and mostly dudes.  That’s why Smurfette gets hit on so much.

So overall, it should be a really “smurfy” movie.  <— (You decide what I mean by that.)

What do you do when your jail sentence gets postponed??  You enjoy your freedom while it lasts!

Lil Wayne recently took advantage of one of his last nights as a free man by making a surprise appearance at a Jay-Z concert.  After the show, the rapper and his entourage tried to get into the party for the premiere of the new movie, Brooklyn’s Finest… But apparently, security wouldn’t let him in and Weezy threw a temper tantrum.  Dawww!

Hopefully he can make the most of this weekend before heading to jail on Monday.  IF he actually goes.

J-Kwon is alive and well after being reportedly missing for over a month.

The rapper, most known for his 2004 hit song “Tipsy”, contacted his label Gracie Entertainment after they sent out a missing person press release.  They claim they were unable to reach him for over a month.  They even started a Twitter account named WhereIsJkwon in order to get tips from anyone who may have known about his whereabouts.

Since then, J-Kwon has contacted his label to let them know he’s OK.

Gracie Entertainment has sent out another statement to relieve his worried fans saying, “I am very happy to let everyone know that I personally spoke with J-Kwon today, and he is okay. He’d like to send a sincere apology to his friends and everyone who showed concern this week. He was taking some time to himself as he sometimes does, not realizing that people would start to worry after a while. A few days out of touch versus a month is quite a difference. Right now he just wants to keep doing what he’s doing, and will be more available for those who care about him. We thank you again for your outreach, and we are relieved to know he’ll be alright.”

A new J-Kwon album is to hit shelves March 23… hmm… Was he really “missing”?  Or publicity stunt?

Rihanna and Beyonce… The media compares them to one another whether they will admit they are in competition or not.  And now Rihanna has overthrown Beyonce as the female artist having the most Top 10 singles in the 2000’s.

Beyonce previously led with 13… But now with the success of “Rude Boy”, Rihanna has surpassed her with 14.

RiRi is tied with Ludacris who also has 14 Top 10 hits on the male artist side… But the ultimate leader is B’s man, Jay-Z, who has had 15 since 2000.
